Bio/Info: For over twenty years now, keith rowley-yugen has been in pursuit of that infamous "lost chord" of yore. He has been both recording and absorbing sounds, trying to re-create those relatively rare actualizations of enlightenment. yugen's music is a blend of intelligent spirituality and social introspection; it is always an end in itself, while at the same time acting as long-term memory, preserving feelings of the moment, environments of context. But over decades of time, circumstances both personal and public, the politics of biology and the state of the art, as heard through the filter of yugen's "ear as the first musical instrument," all coincide in compositions rich in texture, deep in meaning, and complex in emotion.


2005 April 03: I've been selling off my audio equipment on eBay. Minimizing/downsizing. Clearing my life for clarity's sake. Likewise, my music is becoming more focused, but more free. Such is the state of music technology right now, that one may both simplify and diversify simultaneously. Gives me hope for the human race (or at least for my life).
